I’m Grateful for You

Tomorrow we will be heading to my brother and sister-in-law’s for Thanksgiving.

This wildly creative duo puts on a fabulous, themed Thanksgiving dinner every year, hosting 30 or so family members and friends.

This year’s theme is “Country Chic”.

It being Southern California, the dinner is set up outside under a rented tent. Once the theme is determined, usually by early October, this amazing pair goes to work. They come up with clever and inexpensive ideas that turn out looking like something from Martha Stewart Living. And, as responsible citizens, they reuse and repurpose many of the materials year after year.

Last year my sister-in-law talked the owner of an antique store into letting her borrow a chandelier for the day.

They seriously need to write a book.

I will share more pictures later in the week but, as a teaser, let me tell you that their attention to detail includes installing a corrugated tin roof on the ceiling of the tent.

Unbelievable, right?!?!

I’m so grateful for all of life’s gifts – but most especially my friends and family.

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Gobble, Gobble, Cheers!
