Revealing The New Blog Design And Something Else

As promised, my new blog design has gone live. The transition was a little bumpy but, thanks to my fabulous web guru Michele Bergh, all the hiccups were taken care of and I now have a fully functioning site.

Thanks, Michele!!

As you can see, the new look is a bit brighter, bolder and more vibrant. I’m hoping to reflect a new joie de vivre.  Fake it ’til you make it.

The font size larger so it will be easier to read for those of us “of a certain age”. The rest of you will thank me when you, too, wake up one morning to find that you can’t read a thing without reading glasses and you can’t find your reading glasses even though you keep a pair in every room and usually on top of your head.

You’re welcome.

I’ve also added a link to my (very new) Instagram account so you can see the wines we are enjoying and recommending.

More new features to come!

Slowly but surely I’m getting back in the groove. Many thanks to all for the great support and kind comments.

So what do you think of the new look? Are there any bugs that you can see that I don’t? Any suggestions for improvements? Please let me know!

But now – in MUCH more important and exciting news –

drumroll please….

We will become grandparents again this fall when our daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Jerry, have their first baby. YAY!!!!

Peter and I and the entire family are over the moon with excitement. Chip and Dale can’t wait to meet their new cousin and show him/her the ways of the world.

It's all good

I’m a very lucky gal, indeed.

  1. Mo, congrats on your new baby and I don’t mean the blog! Guess this means you’ll be spending even more time in Boston!!!
Loved the comment about the larger font size though I can’t say I noticed

    • Boston here I come! My poor husband is pretty convinced he won’t see much of me after the new baby comes. He’s probably right.

  2. Umm, only part of my comment published. Would we consider that a glitch?

  3. Congratulations, can’t wait to hear all about my new cousin!

  4. Congrats on the new (soon) grand baby – so exciting!!!
And, I love the new look!!! I’ve been trying to add my IG link but can’t find a thing that includes it.

  5. Yeah for new blogs and new grandbabies!

  6. Congrats on being a grandma again! I noticed on my iPhone half the site pulls up like it cuts off, I’m sure on a regular computer that is not the case. Could even be my phone I dunno.

It looks great from what I COULD tell-i am looking for a designer too so if you have the link let me know! I am trying to get back into this too.

    • Thanks for letting me know! When I pull it up on my iPhone, the header is cut off and the menu bar is reformatted into a square rather than a bar but other than that it seems ok. Hmmmm…. what kind of phone do you have?
I designed this myself using WordPress/Genesis/Prose. I had the confidence to do it because I knew I had my fab web guru (she hosts my site and provides back-up and maintenance). Let me know if you’d like her contact info!

  11. Love the new look AND the exciting news!! What a blessing! And to have the grandkids all in the same state – easy to spread the love around.
When I open your blog on my iPhone, the top only shows the gift box and “moca” and the side column shows at the bottom. (sounds like that’s what you see too) But the larger font makes it very easy to read!

  12. Mo a double congrats to you. Love the new look and welcome to Instagram I shall follow you pronto, I do love Instagram and wine so we are a perfect match.
And of course a big lovely Ausssie hug celebrating the news of your next grandchild. Whoohooo.

Funny about the bigger font. Not too long ago I had a blog redesign too – and bigger font was a must have. We’re nothing if not thoughtful toward one another. 😉

  14. Mo… Congrats on becoming grandparents again!!! So happy for you. The new design looks great!

  15. Ooohhh and am I right in thinking it’s brighter over here too? Love this new look Mo. Fresh and clean and happy. What exciting news about the grandchild on the way as well! It is indeed a blog of big reveals all around. Congratulations!
