Spending The Week With The Grandchildren

This week I am in Boston visiting my kids and grandchildren so things will be a little quiet on my blog. Balance.

The crisp fall days and gorgeous fall colors are a treat to experience. Sunday we went on a hayride at Wilson Farm in Lexington.

We are hoping for a Red Sox victory in the World Series. (As a Cubs fan I am programmed to root for whoever is playing against the Cardinals.)

It’s a big week in Beantown!

The boys love to cruise around the neighborhood in their wagon scoping out all the cars and trucks that pass us by.

And they love looking out the back door.

Their very favorite time is story time.

And for my birthday, the kids got me Alex and Ani bracelets with each of the boys’ initials and this one which they called my “Mocadeaux bracelet”.

Celebrating life’s gifts. How cute is that?!

  5. Ok – these pictures are precious. That wagon is quite skookum with the back support built in. How cute are those hats? I am also noticing that the lads are blessed with lovely thick hair. Long may it last. You are one lucky Mo to be able to spend a week with these folks and to be given such a thoughtful “bracetet.” Enjoy.

  11. They are precious, Mo! Enjoy every minute with them. The only think I can’t agree with is the Red Sox – I am a diehard Yankee fan and my husband is from St. Louis, so we are rooting big time for the Cards.

  18. Love how you started this with the concept of balance! Yes, we blog, and yes (for some of us anyway) its important… but so are the people right in front of us! Its great that you could put cyberspace on the back burner and enjoy those little guys to the fullest. Can’t root against the Cards though. Even though I am a Chicago girl now, the first home I owned and both my kiddos were born in STL- so I have a soft spot for the “other” midwestern city.

    • Thanks for stopping by, Kim! Although I do love blogging, I love the precious time spent with the little guys way more. Practicing balance in everyday life is not always easy but when I’m in Boston with them, everything else falls to the wayside!
I can completely understand the soft spot you have for St. Louis. Lots of great memories started there!
