My Other Hobby – Mo Photos

In addition to wine and Bravo TV, I have another hobby.

I collect Mo Photos.

It all started when I visited The Musée d’Orsay in Paris in 1997. I took a picture of myself next to the museum’s sign; the first of my Mo Photos collection.

I can’t seem to locate that picture but my darling and thoughtful goddaughter sent this to me while she was studying at the London School of Economics last year. (Did I mention that she is also brilliant and beautiful?)

Several years ago when my sister was visiting in me in California, we captured this Mo Photo by stopping the car in just the right spot to crop out the “Bev” part of the “BevMo!” sign.

A little further cropping on the computer resulted in this.

Over the years, friends and family have sent Mo Photos to me for my collection.

My sister-in-law sent this one.

My friend, Jackie, sent this one – I think from EuroDisney.

Disney Mo

My brother sent this one – perfect for St. Patrick’s Day.

Irish Mo

I found this one on a license plate in Washington DC. The license plate said “Big Mo” but I chose to crop out the reference to size…

Another license plate, this one from Ireland.

Remember learning about the periodic table of elements in high school chemistry? Our friend, Molybdenum, provides another Mo Photo.

I might be taking liberties with the theme in this photo from a Hotel in Atlanta, but I liked it.

Combining my love of wine with my other hobby, we have MoMo Sauvignon Blanc from Australia. And, since my grandma nickname is MoMo, this one is extra special!

This was taken from the bar at a very cool restaurant in Chicago. The bar showed the names of different wines carved out and back lit. This “Mo” was part of Mourvèdre (also known as Monastrell).

When I saw this bottle of wine in a little shop in Boston I couldn’t resist.

And finally, the most recent addition to my Mo Photos collection, from the hotel bar where Kate and I soothed our disappointment over the cancellation of The Boston Wine Expo.

Thank you for indulging me in a little bit of (hopefully uncharacteristic) self-absorption.

And please, if you see any Mo Photos that I should add to my collection, send them along!

  6. I suppose I’m self-absorbed, because I am absolutely in love with Mo photos. That is the coolest idea, and I will be on the look out of pics to add to your collection. It’s a good thing “Dana” isn’t commonly sighted, or I would be obsessed with taking my own photos.
